Candle gift box concept with two glass jars and a paper insert
Packaging example. Protection must be checked with the actual candle and shipping setup.

A candle box has two jobs: present the brand and hold the product securely. Growing candle and home-fragrance brands need packaging that works on a shelf, inside a gift set and during delivery.

Measure the candle first

Send the jar dimensions, lid size and filled product weight. Include any sleeve, accessory or protective wrapping. An insert designed around an empty jar may behave differently with the finished product. Confirm the fit using the actual item.

Separate presentation from shipping

A printed product box or rigid gift box can improve presentation. It does not automatically provide enough protection for parcel delivery. Review the outer shipping carton, cushioning and insert together. Test the complete packed product under conditions appropriate to the delivery route.

Build gift sets around real demand

For example, a brand selling single candles and a two-candle set could compare a folding carton for everyday orders with a separate gift box for the set. This is an illustrative scenario. Avoid ordering a large range of seasonal box sizes before sales justify them.

Choose finishes with a purpose

Foil, embossing and textured papers can create a distinctive appearance, but they also affect the quotation and sampling process. Compare a simple printed option with the preferred finish. Check logo readability and colour on the actual material, especially across boxes and labels.

Plan the next batch early

Keep the approved dimensions, insert drawing, artwork version and colour reference. Ask how the boxes are packed and whether they arrive assembled or flat. Include assembly work, storage and freight when comparing suppliers. Allow time to approve samples before a seasonal launch.

Local design. Overseas production.

A local designer can supply production-ready artwork using the factory’s approved box dieline. If support is needed, ask about overseas structure and artwork services and agree on their fees and scope. Keep the final design approval clear.
