A local designer can prepare the branding while the overseas factory produces the packaging. A clear handover connects the design to the approved box or bag structure.

1. Get the approved dieline

Request the factory’s structural template before placing artwork. Confirm dimensions, panel orientation and the file revision. Keep it at the supplied scale. If the structure changes, update the artwork against the revised template.

2. Prepare the print files

Follow the supplier’s instructions for bleed, safe areas, colour, fonts and image quality. Keep logos and essential text clear of cutting and folding areas. Supply foil, embossing or spot-coating areas in the requested layers or separate files.

3. Check content and codes

Review product names, spelling, variants and required market information. Confirm barcode data and the applicable size and placement requirements. Check the exported file and include a printed-code review in the approval plan.

4. Choose a proof or sample

A PDF can confirm wording and layout. A physical digital printed sample can help review size and assembly, but may approximate production colour and finishes. Production-press samples usually involve more setup, time and cost; choose them when the feature being checked justifies the expense.

5. Release one final version

Reopen the exported production file before sending it. Use clear filenames and identify superseded versions. Record separate approval of the structure, artwork and finishes. Keep an editable source copy and the agreed reference sample.

Need design support?

Ask which structural and artwork services are available and confirm their fees, revision scope and final deliverables. A local designer can send completed files directly to HuaJia for a production suitability check.
